Portsmouth Papa Gino's Closes
Pizza chain Papa Gino's closed three New Hampshire locations and dozens others across New England.

PORTSMOUTH, NH -- Pizza chain Papa Gino's, a New England institution since the 1960s, on Sunday closed about 50 restaurants across New England -- including one in Portsmouth. The Portsmouth Papa Gino's at 2800 Lafayette Road was shuttered. A recorded telephone message said, "This restaurant is now permanently closed."
Papa Gino's also closed restaurants in Nashua and Manchester.
The closures left Papa Gino's with 12 locations in New Hampshire: Concord, Derry, Dover, Gilford, Hudson, Londonderry, Manchester, Merrimack, Plaistow, Rochester, Salem and Seabrook. Eighty-five other Papa Gino's restaurants across New England also remained open.

Dedham, Massachusetts-based Papa Gino's was founded in 1961 and grew to more than 100 restaurants across New England.
