Portsmouth Police Investigate School Threat
Portsmouth police are doing a criminal investigation after a student posted a school threat on social media.
PORTSMOUTH, NH — Police are conducting a criminal investigation after a school threat posted on social media Monday night. According to police, a Portsmouth Middle School student made a post on Snapchat showing a staircase at the school, saying, "Who wants to shoot up the school tomorrow?" Police say they immediately contacted the student and the student's family, and the middle school took administrative action in response to the threatening statement.
Police say that a criminal investigation is ongoing at this time. More information will be posted as it becomes available. Those who have further information about the incident are asked to call the the Seacoast Crime Stoppers and make an anonymous tip at 603-431-1199.
