Police last week saved three baby ducklings from a sewer drain. The incident was reported in the Portsmouth police log for May 15 to May 19

Wednesday, May 15:

7:09 a.m. — A 16-year-old is charged with domestic violence, simple assault.

7:39 a.m. — Police remove a cement block on the roadway on Church Street.

10:58 a.m. — Theft is reported on Porpoise Way.

11:02 a.m. — Police check on the welbeing of a child.

2:12 p.m. — A woman reports being harassed by a man trying to sell her drugs.

2:21 p.m. — A man reportedly tries to open an account with a fake ID.

7:24 p.m. — A hit-and-run accident is reported on Grafton Drive.

Thursday, May 16:

9:12 a.m. — A minor vehicle accident is reported on Hanover Street.

10:35 a.m. — Police give a verbal warning for disorderly conduct at Vaughan Mall.

10:42 a.m. — A mother duck is reportedly running around after her ducklings fell in a storm drain on Arthur Brady Drive, causing traffic issues. People are gathering around. Police rescue three ducklings and reunite them with their mother.

4:01 p.m. — An unwanted neighbor is removed from a property on Wedgewood Road.

4:46 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident involving property damage and no injuries is reported at the intersection of Court and Pleasant streets.

5:56 p.m. — Three kids call 911 when his father goes to visit his landlord to pay rent. Police determined they were scared because they were still in the car, no report is taken.

6:50 p.m. — A hit-and-run accident is reported to police. The accident had occurred at the intersection of Gosling Road and Spaulding Turnpike northbound.

7:12 p.m. — A man reportedly threatens not to return a child after a visitation.

9:32 p.m. — Theft of a purse is reported on Lafayette Road.

11:12 p.m. — A female employee on Daniel Street is reportedly assaulted by another woman. Police arrest 29-year-old Kelly K. Donovan of Dover on four counts of simple assault, two counts of criminal mischief and one count of resisting arrest.

Friday, May 17:

1:20 a.m. — A man punches another man on Hanover Street. Police talk to both parties, no arrests are made.

9:38 a.m. — Police search for a suicidal male but are unable to locate him.

11:13 a.m. — Police assist at a structure fire on Michael Succi Drive.

11:29 a.m. — Credit card fraud is reported on Woodbury Avenue.

2:36 p.m. — Nicole Viel, 26, of Rochester, is arrested on a warrant. Stephen D. Mercier Jr., 24, of Farmington, is charged with possession of a controlled drug.

2:59 p.m. — A woman reports being harassed at a Wedgewood Road gas station.

3:35 p.m. — A woman reports wallet theft.

3:50 p.m. — Serafina V. Underwood, 19, of Leominster, Massachusetts, is arrested on a bench warrant.

5:31 p.m. — A woman again reports harassment at a Woodbury Avenue gas station.

7 p.m. — Maxwell Jenson, 21, of North Hampton, is charged with possession of a controlled drug.

8:56 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident is reported on Market Street, where a vehicle strikes the rear of another vehicle. One driver complains of head pain. Both vehicles are towed.

9:25 p.m. — Police assist after a man walks into the fire station requesting an ambulance, because he is suicidal. He is transported to the hospital by a Newington ambulance.

9:48 p.m. — A heated argument is reported at Cumberland Farms on Lafayette Road. The customer who was involved is gone when police arrive.

10:31 p.m. — A noise complaint is reported on Osprey Drive.

Saturday, May 18:

2:10 a.m. — Two roommates are reportedly fighting on White Cedar Boulevard.

2:48 a.m. — On Airline Avenue, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer reports that a terminal is closed, but there is a man sleeping inside. After police respond, the man is allowed to stay.
