Portsmouth Police Searching for Parole Violator
James McMillan was serving time in NH State Prison for escape before police say he left his parole supervision.

Police are searching for an at large New Hampshire State Prison inmate who has violated his parole conditions.
According to the Seacoast Crime Stoppers website, James McMillan, 31, with a last known address in Dover, absconded from parole supervision. He was serving a 1- to 1 1/2 year prison sentence for escape.
Police say McMillan has an extensive criminal record from New Hampshire and Maine that includes thefts, burglary, assault, false imprisonment, disobeying an officer, criminal mischief and prior probation/parole violation.

McMillan is believed to be in the Seacoast, Portsmouth / Dover areas. McMillian frequents downtown Portsmouth establishments. The Dover Probation / Parole Office in conjunction with the Strafford County Sheriffs Office are attempting to locate and arrest McMillan. Jason Wirth with the New Hampshire Department of Corrections/Parole office in Strafford County is the investigator assigned to McMillan's case and he can be reached at (603) 742-4968.
McMillan is described as a black male, 6'2, 200 lbs., with brown eyes and a shaved/bald head.

Anyone with any information about McMillan's whereabouts should contact their local police department or people can remain anonymous by calling Seacoast Crime Stoppers at 603-431-1199 or leave an anonymous tip online at seacoastcrimestoppers.org. They can also text your tip to CRIMES (274637) with the letters "TIPSCS" and leave tips that way. This enables you to have two way dialogue with the investigating Detective.
If someone's tip leads to the indictment of this individual, they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
