Portsmouth Police Searching for 4-Foot Tall Sex Offender

Portsmouth Police want the public's help to locate Adam Anderson after he failed to register as a sex offender.

Portsmouth Police have issued a felony warrant for a city man who failed to register as a convicted sex offender.

Deputy Police Chief Corey MacDonald said police are looking for Adam Andersen, 39, address unknown of Portsmouth. He is described as 4 feet tall, 105 pounds and bald with blue eyes. 

MacDonald said Andersen was convicted of two counts of sexual assault in October 2012, which require him to register as a non-public sex offender for 10 years.

RSA 651-B:4 requires that a sex offender must report permanent and temporary residences, with a temporary residence being defined by statute as “staying at a residence for more than a total of 5 days during a one month period”.

Andersen was last registered in Dover in December 2012, according to MacDonald. Police believe he is staying at different locations in Portsmouth and they are asking for the public’s help in locating Andersen, according to MacDonald.

Anyone who has specific information about Andersen’s whereabouts should contact Det. Kristyn Bernier at (603)610-7529, or Portsmouth Police Dispatch at 603-436-2145.

They can also contact Seacoast Crime Stoppers at 603-431-1199 if they wish to remain anonymous and have information on unsolved crimes, vandalism or under age alcohol parties. People can also leave an anonymous tip by logging on to www.seacoastcrimestoppers.org or send an SMS text to CRIMES (274637) and include TIPSCS in their message. People could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your information leads to an arrest and indictment.
