Road Projects Overview May 13

Portsmouth Transportation Planner Juliet Walker is the guest speaker at the next Citywide Neighborhood Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 13, for an overview on transportation improvements with the construction season well under way.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Portsmouth City Hall, Conference Room A.

From the Citywide Neighborhood Committee:

"With a Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan nearing completion and newly adopted Complete Streets and Bicycle and Walk Friendly Community Policies being implemented there’s a lot of support for planning and designing multi-modal transportation projects. The City's Transportation Planner, Juliet Walker, will give us a brief overview of some of the current and planned road improvement projects that demonstrate Complete Streets principles as well as the process for moving projects from the planning phase to design and construction. She will also be on hand for a group discussion with residents about ideas for improving communication and coordination with neighborhoods during road construction projects."
