Portsmouth police said Joseph Kelley robbed a woman at a TD Bank ATM on Lafayette Road.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A man accused of robbing a woman at a Portsmouth ATM Sunday was tracked down and arrested by the Seacoast SWAT Monday morning, authorities said. Joseph Kelley (pictured), 50, of Portsmouth, was charged with robbery and held in custody at the Rockingham County Jail pending an arraignment.

Kelley robbed a 55-year-old woman as she was collecting cash at the drive-up ATM of a TD Bank on Lafayette Road Sunday at about 3:30 p.m., police said. He then fled in a vehicle, police added.

Based on the victim's account and a witness who saw the incident, police said they identified Kelley and his vehicle, which was tracked to a local motel. The Seacoast Emergency Response Team arrested Kelley Monday at about 7 a.m. in the area of Manor Drive, police said.
