Police Charge Portsmouth Woman in Drug Fraud
The arrest follows two-week probe by the NH State Police Narcotics & Investigations Unit.

A Portsmouth woman was arrested Sunday for alleged doctor shopping – a charge of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud.
New Hampshire State Police said Kelli Clifford, 28, of 256 Wibird St., Portsmouth, was arrested by Portsmouth officers Sunday night after a warrant was issued by the State Police Narcotics & Investigations Unit.
She was released on bail and given a court date of May 10 to answer to the alleged drug diversion activities, which investigators said they tracked over two weeks.

As part of the investigation, police in Coventry, R.I., arrested and charged William Eades, 53, of 23 Perley St., Concord, N.H., as a fugitive from justice for a similar charge of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud.
New Hampshire State Police said Eades is currently being held awaiting court proceedings in Rhode Island for rendition back to New Hampshire.
