Portsmouth Woman Linked to Marriott Murder Case Waives Hearing

Kathryn McDonough waives arraignment on three charges in Rockingham County Superior Court.

A Portsmouth woman who state prosecutors say tried to help murder suspect Seth Mazzaglia conceal physical evidence in the Elizabeth Marriott murder case and lied to investigators waived her arraignment, according to the Union Leader.

Kathryn McDonough was scheduled to be arraigned on charges of witness tampering, hindering apprehension or prosecution and conspiracy to commit hindering apprehension or prosecution, but her lawyer, Attorney Andrew Cotrupi, filed paperwork to waive the hearing, according to the Union Leader.

On April 10, a Rockingham County Grand Jury indicted McDonough for the three felony counts related to Marriott's murder. Earlier this week, a Strafford County Grand Jury indicted Mazzaglia, 30, of Dover for two counts of first degree murder, second degree murder and conspiracy to commit hindering apprehension or prosecution. He is scheduled to be arraigned on those charges in Strafford County Superior Court on May 2.
