Probable Cause Hearing for City Woman Charged in Marriott Murder Case Today

Kathryn McDonough, 19, of Portsmouth is scheduled to appear in Portsmouth Circuit Court on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.

A Portsmouth woman charged with lying to police about the whereabouts of Seth Mazzaglia following the murder of Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott will have a probable cause hearing in Portsmouth Circuit Court on Wednesday morning.

Portsmouth Circuit Court officials said Monday afternoon that Kathryn McDonough, 19, of Portsmouth is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. McDonough was arraigned on Dec. 26 in Derry District Court on charges of hindering apprehension or prosecution and conspiracy to commit hindering apprehension or prosecution. She remains held at the Rockingham County Jail on $35,000 cash bail.

According to police, McDonough lied to authorities when questioned about the whereabouts of Seth Mazzaglia, 30, of Dover, who is charged with the second-degree murder of Marriott, a University of New Hampshire student. Authorities continue to search the Piscataqua River near Peirce Island for Marriott's body.
