Teens Injured In Accident; Rochester Police Investigating

Report: 6 people in the vehicle which crashed into the woods. Multiple injuries reported.

ROCHESTER, NH — On Tuesday March 3, 2020, around 5:24 a.m., Rochester police, fire and Frisbie EMS responded to a single car motor vehicle accident in the area of Briar Ridge Estates on Old Dover Road. It was reported the vehicle may have had multiple occupants and that someone may have been trapped under the car. When emergency personnel arrived, they located the vehicle, a gray 2005 Cadillac CTS, off the side of the road and into a wooded area.

The vehicle had sustained heavy damage and appeared to have rolled before coming to rest upright on all four wheels.

Emergency personnel learned there were six occupants, between the ages of 15 to 21, in the vehicle, five of which were transported to the hospital with various injuries, some of which were serious. One occupant was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital and three to Wentworth Douglas. Another occupant was transported to Portsmouth Regional with serious injuries and later flown to Boston.

The Strafford County Regional Accident Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation. That area of Old Dover Road was closed for approximately five hours.

The accident is actively being investigated, however police believe the vehicle was traveling south on Old Dover Road before losing control, rolling over and coming to rest. Police are not releasing the names of those involved at this point while attempts to notify family of those involved is made.

The potential cause of the accident, extent of occupant injuries and other details are still being actively investigated at this time.
