Search Warrant Executed At Portsmouth Hotel Nets Two Arrests
Bradford Sargent Jr. and Jannelle Brown of Portsmouth are accused of drug distribution. Police seized drugs from the Homewood Suites.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - A search warrant executed February 9th at the Homewood Suites, on Portsmouth Blvd led to the seizure of drugs and two arrests.
The investigation included Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force in conjunction with the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office Problem-Oriented Policing Unit, Portsmouth Police Department, and the FBI Safe Street Task Force as a part of New Hampshire’s Operation Granite Shield.
The warrants were the result of a two-month investigation into the distribution of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine in Rockingham County and Strafford County. The Seacoast Emergency Response Team (SERT) was requested to conduct the apprehension of two suspects at the hotel. Both suspects were taken into custody by SERT in the parking lot of the hotel.

Bradford Sargent Jr., 40 of Portsmouth was arrested and is accused of 2 counts of conspiracy to distribute a controlled drug, 3 counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled drug. Sargent is being held on a no-bail, preventative detention
Jannelle Brown, 37 of Portsmouth is accused of 3 counts of sale of a controlled drug, 3 counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled drug
Brown is being held on no bail, preventative detention
After Sargent and Brown were taken into custody, a court-authorized search warrant of their room resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Suboxone, and U.S. Currency according to Rockingham County Sherriff Sheriff Charles Massahos

At the time of the arrest, officers seized 2 vehicles being used by Sargent and Brown and obtained a court-authorized search warrant for the vehicles. A search of the vehicles resulted in the seizure of additional fentanyl as well as other controlled drugs and additional U.S. Currency.
