Ayotte, Shaheen to Visit Shipyard, Shea-Porter to Tour Pease ANG
Planning Board meeting tonight at City Hall; library to offer free screening of "Flight"; some snow and rain followed by sun in the forecast.
1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of some rain and snow in the morning followed by sun in the afternoon with a high temperature of 47 degrees. On Thursday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low temperature of 33 degrees.
2. Ayotte, Shaheen, Shea-Porter in town: U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, will visit the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on Thursday morning to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) initiatives that help women embark on new careers in these fields. U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, D-NH, is scheduled to tour the Pease Air National Guard Base in Newington to support the effort to land some new KC-46A tankers. U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, is scheduled to meet with Portsmouth Naval Shipyard leaders on Thursday afternoon. Stay with Portsmouth Patch for coverage of all three of these events.
3. See "Flight" at library: The Portsmouth Public Library will have a free screening of the film, "Flight," starring Denzel Washington on Thursday night at 6:30 in the Levenson Room.

4. Easter Egg Hunt: The city Recreation Department will hold the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. in Langdon Park.
5. Planning Board meeting: The city Planning Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at City Hall to review some zoning ordinance amendments. The agenda can be viewed on the city's website.
