Shaheen to Tour High Liner Foods Wednesday

U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, is scheduled to tour High Liner Foods USA on Wednesday to show how the Portsmouth business has benefited from adopting energy efficiencies to reduce their operating costs.

Shaheen is scheduled to tour the Portsmouth firm on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m., according to Mark Gordon, who serves as Shaheen's press officer.

"Several provisions of Shaheen’s legislation, the Energy Savings and Industrial Competitiveness Act (S. 1000), were recently passed through Congress with broad bipartisan support and signed into law by President Obama. High Liner has implemented energy efficient initiatives to cut their energy costs and would be able to further benefit through Senator Shaheen’s legislation," Gordon wrote in a press release.
