Shooting In Downtown Portsmouth, Police Say
Portsmouth police said there was a shooting downtown on Summer Street when a partygoer entered the wrong home.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A Portsmouth man shot at a teenager who had the wrong address for a party and entered his residence Saturday morning, according to police. The teen was not hit and uninjured. The shooting happened at about 3 a.m. on Summer Street and the teen entered a home occupied by a woman and man.
"The juvenile male intruder entered the home after receiving an invitation via a social media site, but had the wrong address," Portsmouth Police Lieutenant Darrin Sargent said in a statement. "(The woman) and her partner encountered the male parked in a vehicle on Summer St ... her partner, armed with a pistol, fired upon the vehicle as it fled from the area."
Sargent added, "This is an ongoing investigation."
