Shoplifter Charged After Stealing 'Hair for Men'
Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, Sept. 30.
Sunday:
- At 2:01 p.m., police reported a theft on Islington Street after the caller said the store videotaped a man stealing a "Hair for Men" product. The caller said the same male subject had been stealing items from the store for several months. Police arrested Gary J. Johnson, 57, of 252 Fox Point Road in Newington in the store parking lot and charged him with two counts of wilful concealment.
- At 3:16 p.m., police arrested a Kensington man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Patrick J. Wendell, 35, of 6 Gaslight Lane in Kensington was wanted for possession of controlled narcotic drugs.
- At 6:08 p.m., police reported a car versus a bicycle accident on Lafayette Road and Mirona Road that left the bicyclist with serious injuries. Portsmouth Fire Rescue transported the male bicyclist to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment.
- At 10:59 p.m., police reported the theft of a purse in Market Square after the caller said she had left it on a bench for a few hours.
