Singer/Songwriter Festival Continues this Weekend

1. Today's weather: Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 72 degrees. On Thursday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 48 degrees.

2. Operations Efficiencies panel meeting: The city's Operational Efficiencies Committee will meet at City Hall on Friday at 8 a.m. The agenda can be viewed on the city's website.

3. Run for Boston: Runner's Alley will hold a Run for Boston at all three of its stores in Portsmouth, Manchester and Nashua on Saturday at 8 a.m. to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

4. Portsmouth Singer/Songwriter Festival: The Portsmouth Singer/Songwriter Festival will continue through Sunday. This five day event is held at the Music Hall and Music Hall Loft and feature several concerts and a Seacoast Singer/Songwriter Round Robin tournament. Aimee Mann and Sharon Van Etten will also perform in concert this weekend.

5. Sarah Long Bridge closed: According to New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials, the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge will be closed to motor vehicle traffic until May 25 because of the extensive repairs that need to be done.
