The Page Loses Its Liquor License

The New Hampshire Liquor Commission voted on Wednesday to revoke the liquor license held by New Adventure Entertainment, LLC.

The New Hampshire Liquor Commission has officially revoked The Page's liquor license two days after Portsmouth officials announced the former Hanover Street restaurant agreed to permanently close its doors.

James Wilson, director of the state agency's division of enforcement and licensing, said in a press release issued Friday the Liquor Commission voted on Wednesday to revoke the liquor license that had been issued to the The Page's parent corporation, New Adventure Entertainment, LLC.

"The matter was originally scheduled for a hearing on June 27th after the City of Portsmouth filed a petition for revocation of the license with the Liquor Commission citing numerous calls for police services from the Police Department for alcohol abuse and violence associated with the service of alcohol at Hanover Street establishment," said Wilson in a prepared statement.

The Page building is currently for sale for more than $3.6 million and is listed on Weichert Realtors web site. Meanwhile, The Page's parent corporation is still facing a felony charge in Rockingham County Superior Court related to the beating death of Jonathan Krantz, 24, of Dover that happened in April.
