The Page's Liquor License Intact After Death
The City Council wants to see the bar's license revoked after police said a man was beaten there and died.

The Page Sports Bar and Restaurant will continue to serve alcohol for at least another month until the New Hampshire Liquor Commission hears the City of Portsmouth's petition calling for the revocation of the establishment's liquor license.
Nancy Shea, legal assistant for the New Hampshire Liquor Commission Division of Enforcement and Licensing in Concord, said Monday morning the state agency could schedule a hearing on the city's petition either in late June or July.
The restaurant's liquor license was scheduled to expire on May 31. The Portsmouth City Council recently voted to petition the state agency to revoke the restaurant's liquor license after Portsmouth Police Chief Stephen DuBois prepared a report that listed dozens of police calls related to The Page since the establishment opened in July 2007.

The Page's owners have also reopened the Stadium Lounge with a new Tapas menu and live entertainment with craft beers and wine.
Shea said on Monday The Page's liquor license will continue until the state agency holds a hearing regarding the city's petition. She said the state liquor commission's legal proceedings regarding The Page's liquor license are totally separate from the felony charges The Page's parent corporation, New Adventure Entertainment, LLC, will face in Rockingham County Superior Court after the corporation was indicted by a Rockingham County Grand Jury in May.
