The City of Portsmouth announced street closures in the city during the next two days due to scheduled construction. The middle portion of Penhallow Street between State Street and Daniel Street will be closed to through traffic beginning at noon Thursday, Aug. 13, due to scheduled drain and water line work.The street will be temporarily closed on Friday morning, Aug. 14, as well. Through traffic will be allowed to pass by 2 p.m. on Friday, however. The City said parking outside the work zone will remain accessible from State Street or Daniel Street.
