Website to Give to Arkell's Family

Police: The website is the only official online fundraising site for Officer's Arkell's family.

A website is now available for people to donate to a fund to help slain Brentwood Police Officer Stephen Arkell's family.

Stevearkell.com is the only official online fundraising site, according to police.

Arkell, who with his wife Heather has two teen daughters, was killed in the line of duty May 12 as he responded to a domestic dispute in Brentwood. He was a part-time officer, and the town's animal control officer. He also worked as a local carpenter, and he was a popular lacrosse coach at Exeter High School.

The public may also make donations to the Mrs. Stephen Arkell Fund. Here are the details of that fund:

The online donations via www.stevearkell.com will go directly into the Mrs. Stephen Arkell TD Bank Fund, set up through the Police Association.

On Monday, at the annual New Hampshire Law Enforcement Officers' Memorial Ceremony in Concord, Gov. Maggie Hassan will pay tribute to Officer Arkell and other officers who have died in the line of duty. That event is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. at the memorial, which is located next to the Legislative Office Building and across the street from the Statehouse.

Memorial and funeral services for Officer Arkell

  • Tuesday, May 20 at 6 p.m.: Public Safety Walk Thru (for first responders only/ Not Open to General Public) at Exeter High School, 1 Blue Hawk Drive.
  • Wednesday, May 21 at 11 a.m.: A Public Memorial Service at Exeter High School William Ball Stadium, 1 Blue Hawk Drive, Exeter.
  • Thursday, May 22 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Public Calling hours at Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Rd, Exeter.
