Just days after the Portsmouth Holiday Parade, the Wentworth-by-the-Sea Hotel in New Castle will hold its "Wentworth Illumination" on Tuesday evening. The event will feature Santa Claus arriving by horse drawn carriage to help light up the grand hotel with a dazzling array of holiday lights, the Portsmouth High School Clippers Marching Band, Christmas Carolers and the Sandpipers Seacoast Children's Chorus. The event is free and is scheduled to be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be free hot chocolate and other refreshments. If you've never been to this event, it is well worth it.
