When is Portsmouth's Easter Egg Hunt?

The Easter Bunny will bring his eggs to Langdon Park on Saturday morning.

The Easter Bunny is due to arrive at Langdon Park with hundreds of Easter eggs on Saturday morning and the weather should be pretty good.

According to the Portsmouth Recreation Department's website, the city's annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 30, one day before Easter Sunday. The Easter Bunny and his helpers will place hundreds of eggs all over Langdon Park for dozens of Portsmouth area children.

City recreation department staff will direct preschoolers to go on their Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 a.m. followed by kids in grades K-2 at 11:30 a.m. Last year, the recreation department staff instructed kids to take no more than 12 eggs each and they could also hunt for the coveted silver Easter Egg that would bring with it some great prizes. By the time they were finished, nearly all of the eggs were gone.

The recreation department also offers free face painting and free lollipops and jelly beans to go along with whatever treasures the kids collect in the park. Recreation department officials said that no makeup date or indoor location has been scheduled if the Easter Egg Hunt is cancelled.
