Portsmouth mom wants to do know when and where Portsmouth Little League Opening Day will take place?

Believe it or not, Portsmouth Little League Opening Day is today, Saturday, April 20 and there is a lot going on at Leary Field to get the 2013 season started off right.
And there are still some parents who are not sure when and where the ceremonies will take place like Clare, whose son, Ivan, is going to participate in in his first Little League season.
I know that Portsmouth Little League Opening Day is today at Leary Field, but when should I bring my son there and what do I need to know before we leave the house?

Great question, Clare. Here is what Portsmouth Patch found out. According to the Portsmouth Little League website, players are supposed to report to Leary Field with their teams and coaches at 8:45 a.m. where they will line up along the third base line. There are also a few non-profit groups that will be looking for donations to help those less fortunate.
Players and parents are encouarged to bring some non-perishable food items for the Seacoast Communty Church Food Pantry. They are also being asked to bring any unwanted baseball or softball bats, gloves, hats, balls and other equipment to support a charity called Double Play, which provides these things to children in Nicaragua.
