• Town of Rye installs more than 100 solar panels on public safety, recreation buildings (wmur.com) — Rye has installed 138 solar panels on its public safety building and recreation department garage, expected to cover about half of those facilities’ electricity needs. Officials estimate the arrays will generate over 73,000 kilowatt-hours annually, saving roughly $12,000 per year and about $400,000 over their lifetime, easing long-term costs for local taxpayers.
