36-Year-Old Pelham Woman Identified As Victim Of Fiery Pelham Crash

Krystle Barnaby of Pelham died Wednesday after the pickup truck she was driving struck a tree and burst into flames. She died at the scene.

PELHAM, NH — Pelham police have identified the victim of a Wednesday crash involving a pick-up truck that struck a tree and burst into flames.

Pelham police and fire responded to a one-vehicle crash report near 970 Mammoth Road Wednesday. As first responders were heading to the crash at about 3:15 p.m., they were notified that the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames and the occupant was still inside. Police arrived at the scene and located a fully engulfed black 2010 Chevy Avalanche that had crashed head-on into a large tree off the shoulder of the roadway. Pelham Fire arrived and extinguished the fire as quickly as possible.

The driver has been identified as Krystle Barnaby, 36, from Pelham. She was pronounced deceased on the scene of the accident.

Based on the investigation, the driver died upon the immediate impact of the crash, and she was the only occupant in the vehicle, according to Pelham police.

The crash remains under investigation. Investigating agencies include the Hudson Police Traffic Accident Reconstruction unit, the New Hampshire State Fire Marshall office, the NH State Medical Examiners office and members of the Pelham Police Department.
