Casino Committee Gets to Work

The super committee examining a bill to legalize casino gambling in NH has a busy week.

The House super committee charged with examining the bill to legalize casino gambling in New Hampshire is back to work this morning.

The Joint Committee of Finance and Ways and Means convened in Rooms 210-211 of the Legislative Office Building. Subcommittee work on revenue estimates is ongoing in LOB Room 202.

  • Revenue subcommittee meets Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., LOB 202. ~ Also meets Thursday, 10 a.m., in same room.
  • Impact subcommittee meets Tuesday, 1 p.m., in LOB 208. ~ Also meets Thursday, 10 a.m., in same room.
  • Regulations subcommittee meets Tuesday, 2 p.m., LOB 210-211. ~ Also meets Thursday, 10 a.m., in same room.

The bill, as amended and passed by the Senate, calls for one high-end casino facility with up to 150 table games and up to 5,000 slot machines.
