Dermatology Practice Opens In Salem While Awaiting Windham Facility

Optima Dermatology and Medical Aesthetics provides medical and cosmetic dermatology treatments for patients of all ages.

SALEM, NH — Optima Dermatology and Medical Aesthetics has announced that it has opened its second New Hampshire location in Salem, though the practice eventually will move to Windham.

The practice, which already is accepting patients, is located at 25 Pelham Rd., Unit 300 in Salem. The move to Windham is scheduled to take place upon the completion of a state-of-the-art facility there in 2023.

According to Optima Dermatology, its medical facilities feature industry-leading dermatologists that provide a comprehensive scope of medical and cosmetic dermatology treatments for patients of all ages.

The new facility boasts the services of Dr. Ryan Karmouta, a board-certified dermatologist who graduated from Harvard Medical School and did his residency at UCLA. Karmouta has published a number of dermatological research papers, an Optima spokesperson said.

According to the spokesperson, Karmouta treats a broad range of dermatology conditions and diseases, including: skin cancer, eczema, acne, psoriasis and rashes.

"I am very much looking forward to working with patients in the Windham area, and as a graduate of a Boston-based school, I'm excited to be back on the East Coast," Karmouta said. "Optima Dermatology's patient-centered approach to care reflects my own, and I look forward to being part of delivering Optima's high level of care to New Hampshire."

The new Optima Dermatology and Medical Aesthetics facility is scheduled to have a ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 4.
