Derry Man Indicted On Knife Threat Charge: Rockingham County Superior Court Roundup

Salem teen indicted for firing a gun near others; Portsmouth man indicted on cocaine sale count; Lawrence man indicted for fentanyl sales.

BRENTWOOD, NH — A Rockingham County grand jury indicted the following people recently.

Michael James Halliday, 42, of Farmington Road in Rochester, on a felony driving while being certified as a habitual offender charge. He was accused of driving on the Spaulding Turnpike in Newington on Nov. 7, 2024, after being deemed a habitual offender by the NH DMV.

Steven Dale Helmbrecht, 62, of Linlew Drive in Derry, on a felony domestic violence-criminal threatening with a deadly weapon charge. He was accused of threatening an intimate partner with a knife, holding it close to her face and saying, “I’m going to kill you, then kill myself,” or words to that effect, on Jan. 6 in Derry.

Kyle Henderson, 32, incarcerated in the Rockingham County Jail at the time of the indictment, on three felony attempted assault by a prisoner charges. He was accused of biting at a correctional officer’s hand and swinging a closed fist and biting at a second correctional officer on Dec. 4, 2024, in Brentwood.

Jason Duane Hoeman, 37, of Constitution Avenue in Portsmouth, on a felony possession of cocaine with intent to sell charge, on Jan. 14, 2024, in Portsmouth.

Sherry Ann Hueber, 53, of Farmington Road in Rochester, on two felony attempted theft by unauthorized taking charges. She was accused of failing to pay for an item at Target in Greenland while in the self-service aisle with an unpaid value of more than $1,000 on Nov. 6, 2024. Twice before, according to the indictment, Hueber has been convicted on theft charges.

Benjamin John Huson, 34, of North Main Street in Newton, on felony assaults by prisoners and simple assault-extended term of imprisonment charges. He was accused of spitting at a corrections officer at the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood on Dec. 21, 2024.

Donald Edward Nisbet, 39, of Phillips Way in Rochester, on two felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon charges. He was accused of speeding and driving into oncoming traffic on Route 125 in Epping on Oct. 22, 2024.

Heidi Lynn Norwood, 52, of Main Street in Sanford, Maine, on a felony count of possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute. She worked in concert with David W. Capps Sr. by having more than 5 grams of the drug in Salem on April 9, 2024, according to the indictment.

Jeffrey Lee Packard, 38, of Decker Road in East Baldwin, Maine, on possession of fentanyl-more than 5 grams with intent to dispense and possession of fentanyl charges, both felonies, on March 20, 2024, in Greenland.

Joseph Frederick Pavone, 51, of Haverhill Road in Salem, on a felony count of domestic violence-second degree assault-strangulation. He was accused of strangling an intimate partner or household member on Oct. 18, 2024, in Salem.

Bruce Allen Pickering Jr., 44, of Adrien Circle in Rochester, on two felony theft by unauthorized taking charges. He was accused of stealing more than $1,500 worth of merchandise from Home Depot in Seabrook on June 21, 2024. Twice before, according to an indictment, Pickering has been convicted of theft.

Cameron James Pike, 19, of Highland Avenue in Salem, on reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and tampering with witnesses and informants charges, both felonies. He was accused of firing a gun in close proximity of two people in Salem on Dec. 12, 2024. Later, Pike was accused of trying to get one of the people to lie about who owned the gun, according to the indictment.

Tommy Manuel Pimentel Santos, 36, of Harriman Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on three felony sale of fentanyl charges, allegedly to an undercover officer, on July 23, Sept. 6, and Sept. 12, 2024, in Seabrook.
