Driver Dies After Fiery Crash With Tractor-Trailer Truck On I-93

DERRY, NH — New Hampshire State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver on Interstate 93 in Derry on Wednesday.

Around 6:15 p.m., state troopers were sent to the southbound side of the highway for a report of a crash between a car and a tractor-trailer truck. During the crash, the truck, driven by Luciano Miguel Garone, 26, of Stallings, North Carolina, caught on fire. The driver of the car, a 2009 Lexus ES350, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver’s name has not been released pending notification of a next of kin, Amber Lagace, the public information officer for state police, said. The department’s Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit was requested and has led the investigation.
