Elderly Campton Man Indicted On Derry Sexual Assault Charges: Superior Court Roundup

Man indicted on child sexual abuse images charges; Windham man indicted for strangulation, domestic violence; habitual offenders indicted.

BRENTWOOD, NH — A grand jury in Rockingham County recently indicted the following individuals.

Sean James Devaney Sr., 63, of Lowell Road in Windham, on a felony count of second-degree assault-strangulation-domestic violence as well as two domestic violence-simple assault charges. He was accused of strangling, pushing, and grabbing the wrist of a family or household member on Aug. 29, 2024, in Windham.

John Christopher Dias, 57, of Mountain Road in Deerfield, on four felony possession of child sexual abuse images charges. He was accused of possessing mph4s on July 31, 2024, in Deerfield.

Jennifer Marie Duckworth, 41, of Kennedy Avenue in Rochester, on assault by prisoners-simple assault, possession of cocaine, possession of amphetamine, and two delivery of articles prohibited charges, all felonies. She was accused of possessing drugs and throwing them in the face of a Rockingham County Jail employee on Oct. 5, 2024, in Brentwood.

David Duncan, 70, of Lower Beech Hill Road in Campton, on a felony count of felonious sexual assault and sexual assault charges. He was accused of fondling a teenage girl between May 1 and Sept. 30, 2020, in Derry.

Scott Anthony Ford, 56, of Mill Road in Brentwood, on theft by unauthorized taking and burglary charges, both felonies, and criminal mischief. He was accused of burglarizing Stair Way To Heaven Comics in Newington, stealing more than $1,500 in merchandise, and damaging a door on Aug. 24, 2024.

Briana Marie Julia Gammon, 36, a transient in New Hampshire, on felony operating while certified as a habitual offender and two theft by unauthorized taking charges, all felonies. She was accused of driving in the parking lot of Walmart in Newington on Oct. 28, 2024, and stealing merchandise from the store after twice being convicted on theft charges.

Joseph Michael Shea, 27, of Fordway Street in Derry, on a felon in possession of a deadly weapon-a folding knife charge on Dec. 20, 2024, in Derry. He is a felon due to an attempted burglary charge in Charlotte County, Florida, in May 2022.

Monica Marie Sheets, 31, of Allard Street in Exeter, on two felony driving while being certified as a habitual offender charges. She was accused of driving on Chester Road in Raymond on Nov. 22, 2024, and Route 101 in Brentwood on Nov. 29, 2022, after being deemed a habitual offender by the NH DMV.

Lindsay Simon, 36, of Franklin Street in Derry, on possession of a controlled drug-fentanyl with intent to distribute-more than 5 grams and possession of buprenorphine charges, both felonies, on April 19, 2024, in Derry.

Richard William Stanley, 24, of Fox Hollow Drive in Hudson, on two felony conduct charges. He was accused of placing two other people in danger of serious injury by firing a handgun in the line of fire of them in Derry on Sept. 2024.

Michael Thomas Szpak, 54, of Judith Street in Danville, on a felony operating while certified as a habitual offender charge. He was accused of driving on Danville Road in Kingston on Sept. 24, 2024, after being deemed a habitual offender by the NH DMV.

Benjamin Varona Jr., 59, of Fairway Drive in Derry, on a felony operating while certified as a habitual offender charge. He was accused of driving on Pinkerton Street in Derry on Oct. 9, 2024, after being deemed a habitual offender by the NH DMV.
