Elderly Salem Woman Dies In Hoarding Situation: Officials

An 87-year-old Salem woman was found dead after a reported tip from a pizza delivery driver.

SALEM, NH — An elderly Salem woman found dead in her home earlier this month died of a medical issue among hoarding conditions, according to officials. The woman was identified Tuesday as Florence Cotter, 87, according to New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon MacDonald. Any possible criminal activity was ruled out, MacDonald added. A tip from a pizza delivery driver led police to find Cotter's body, according to WMUR. The driver said there was blood on the woman's son.
