3. SELECTMEN MEET: A short meeting agenda will include a visit from state Sen. Chuck Morse to discuss the expanded gambling bill. The Selectmen will also asign checking of polls for next week's election and ballot voting.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On March 4, 1861, Abraham Lincoln becomes the 16th president of the United States. In his inauguration speech Lincoln extended an olive branch to the South, but also made it clear that he intended to enforce federal laws in the states that seceded.
