2. SELECTMEN MEET TONIGHT: The Salem Board of Selectmen will finalize the charge of the Casino Advisory Committee and appoint members. Visit here for the complete agenda.

3. ELECTION DAY IS TOMORROW: Polls will be open at four Salem locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow. Voting will take place at Fisk School, Salem Senior Center, Lancaster School and North Salem School.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On March 11, 1779, Congress establishes the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help plan, design and prepare environmental and structural facilities for the U.S. Army. Made up of civilian workers, members of the Continental Army and French officers, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers played an essential role in the critical Revolutionary War battles at Bunker Hill, Saratoga and Yorktown.

5. GAMBLING BILL TO REACH SENATE FLOOR: Senate Bill 152, better known as the expanded gambling bill, will reach the Senate floor on March 14 after receiving approval last week by the Senate Ways & Means Committee.
