A former Salem resident and Boston College alumnus will take the hill in Fort Myers on Thursday to face off against his former school, <a href="http://bostonherald.com/sports/red_sox_mlb/boston_red_sox/2013/02/bc_alum_terry_doyle_makes_granite_state_ment" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to the Boston Herald.</a> Terry Doyle, 27, is a native of Concord, Mass. but grew up in the Granite State. He was selected in the 37th round of the 2008 amateur draft. He has never pitched a regular season game in the major leagues, bouncing around various minor league organizations since being drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 2008. The split-squad game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and will immediately follow a 1:35 p.m. clash with Northeastern. The two contests traditionally kick off the Spring Training schedule.
