Four NH Macy's Welcome Toys 'R' US Shops Within The Department Store

Across New Hampshire — Macy's stores at four New Hampshire malls are celebrating a little nostalgia this week with the return of Toys "R" Us small toy shops within the department stores.

The Macy's at the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem, Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester and Fox Run Mall in Newington, are four of 400 Macy's stores nationwide that have welcomed the iconic toy store, which formally launched its liquidation process via a bankruptcy court filing in 2018.

This week, the Macy's stores are celebrating the return of Toys "R" Us with a 9-day Geoffrey's Birthday Celebration/Grand Opening Extravaganza, in honor of the toy store's giraffe mascot.

The event began this past Saturday and will last until this coming Sunday, and will feature activities for the kids, giveaways, a store scavenger hunt and more.

In July, Macy's expanded its partnership with WHP Global to bring the Toys "R" Us brand to every Macy's store in America this holiday season. Macy's already had been offering customers an assortment of Toys "R" Us products exclusively online.

"Macy's cannot wait to bring the Toys 'R' Us experience to life in our stores," Nata Dvir, Macy's chief merchandising officer, said this past summer. "We hope Toys 'R' Us kids of all ages discover the joy of exploration and play within our shops and families create special memories together. The customer response to our partnership with Toys 'R' Us has been incredible and our toy business has seen tremendous growth."

Each day of Geoffrey's Birthday Celebration/Grand Opening Extravaganza features a different theme and activity. The remaining days are:

• Monday: Geoffrey's Birthday — Design a picture frame and take a photo with a Geoffrey statue. There will also be fun giveaways, including LEGO goody bags and Disney Plush items
• Tuesday: National Geographic STEM Day — Kids will receive a Mini Fools Gold Dig Kit to take home and there will be an in-store dig
• Wednesday: Rainbow Loom Day — Kids can make Rainbow Loom bracelets to trade or take home
• Thursday: Play-Doh Day — Kids can play with Play-Doh playsets and receive a giveaway
• Friday: Pokémon Day — Kids will receive Pokémon Trade & Play activity packs to trade and play in-store
• Saturday: LEGO Day — Kids can build with LEGO sets in-store and receive goody bags
• Sunday: L.O.L Surprise! Day — Kids can color L.O.L. Surprise! activity pages and receive a fun giveaway
