Freedom Rings Out Over Salem Wednesday

The town, state and nation will celebrate a major anniversary of the civil rights movement Wednesday.

1. Today's Forecast: Expect some patchy fog today, with a high of 81. There is a chance of thunderstorms tonight, with a low around 61.

2. "I Have a Dream" 50 Years Later:
 Wednesday is the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic "I Have a Dream" speech, and there are many other things happening throughout the state and nation to mark the big anniversary. One of those celebrations is an open public march at the University of New Hampshire. The march will start at 2 p.m. at the Memorial Union Building and end on the Great Hall Lawn, where King's speech will be read aloud. Churches throughout the state will also ring their bells Wednesday in honor of the speech

3. Back to School in Salem:

4. Budget Committee Meets:
The Salem Budget Committee is scheduled to meet Wednesday night at 7 in the Knightly Room at Salem Town Hall.
