Hassan Signs Budget Into Law, Includes Liquor Store and CTE Center

Two major Salem items are included in the state's capital budget signed into law July 9 by Gov. Maggie Hassan.

A brand new liquor store on Route 28 shows a projected cost of $5.4 million in the budget for fiscal years 2014-2015.

The 20,000-square-foot store would take a couple of years to open and be almost double the size of the current store.

Other store costs included in the budget include two new stores in Warner and Epping, as well as renovations to stores in Hampton.

Over $7 million is also set aside in the budget for renovations to Salem's Career and Technical Education Center.

The total capital budget is $245 million.
