New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan once again stood behind her casino pledge during the National Governors Association winter meeting in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, <a href="http://www.boston.com/news/local/new-hampshire/2013/02/23/hassan-renews-casino-pledge-balance-budget/6UeXKzCwXH7FzaDe3KYfCI/story.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to a report by the Associated Press.</a> She told leaders of the NGA that waiting to act on a casino will allow Massachusetts to take gambling revenue from New Hampshire residents while New Hampshire deals with the social costs. Hassan made similar comments during a hearing of the New Hampshire Senate Ways and Means Committee last week. Her recently presented state budget includes $80 million in casino revenue from licensing fees.
