I-93 Bridge Work to Cause Temporary Detour, Closure

The work will impact Interstate 93 and Route 97.

Submitted by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces night work associated with the construction of the Exit 2 Interstate 93 bridges in Salem.  Erection operations for the temporary I-93 southbound bridge over Pelham Road will take place on the night of Thursday, September 5, 2013, weather permitting.

Construction operations will require traffic on NH Route 97/Pelham Road to be detoured from approximately 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.  This detour will be in place to prevent traffic from traveling under the existing bridges while the temporary bridge is being erected. The detour route for NH 97/Pelham Road will be South Policy Road to Lowell Road to Stiles Road.
