The southbound side of Interstate 93 will be reduced to one lane of traffic around Exit 2 between 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, and 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, according to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.  The partial highway closure is needed as crews work to pave an area around the new Exit 2 interchange in Salem, according to NHDOT. The department said motorists should "remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs." This work is part of the $41 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor is George R. Cairns &amp; Sons, Inc., of Windham.
