Ingram Senior Center to Increase Fees for Non-Residents

The Board of Selectmen discussed the issue on Monday.

The Ingram Senior Center will raise annual membership fees for non-residents, according to a report by the Union Leader.

According to Senior Services Director Patti Drelick, who spoke at Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting, the number of seniors from neighboring towns participating in Salem's programs has increased in the past two years.

Of the 175 people who have joined the senior center in 2013, 54 are non-residents. A total of 415 of the 2,550 current registered members are non-residents.

The fees were recommended to be increased by $5 every year for the next five years.
