The United States Environmental Protection Agency awarded Liberty with the 2017 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award. This award was given to Liberty as part of the NH CORE Utilities partnership including Eversource, Unitil and the New Hampshire Electric Coop. This is the 5th consecutive year that Liberty and the NH CORE Utilities partnership have been recognized with this status. According to Shore, the award is a testament to how well the company runs its programs.

“The number of customers we have served and the impact on energy bills and on the environment is truly staggering,” said Shore. “We weatherized over 1,000 homes including over 300 that were low-income qualified. We also gave energy efficiency incentives to over 2,400 small businesses and 22 municipal customers. When a new energy efficient measure is put into place, we estimate the lifetime savings for the measure. We estimate that the measures put in place in 2016 will save over 136 million kWh of electricity and over 18 million therms of gas over the lifetime of the measures. “
