Man Charged With Assault After Reportedly Hitting WIfe

9:13 a.m. Sgt. Smith called reporting that the landscaping company cleaning the property at Burlington Self Storage Co. on 230 N. Broadway St. is blowing the dirt onto Route 28 northbound.
Debris has been blown back onto the property and the crew has been spoken to.

11:44 a.m. 911 caller is a health care coordinator and she is reporting that the 73-year-old female at a residence on Blake Road stated she ran herself over with her own car at a diffferent location and is now requesting an ambulance.
Unit later reported as clear as subject refused transport.
3:21 p.m. Suspect in a past theft of over $1,700 worth of jeans is reported at Macy's on 1 Mall Road.
The person in question is an Asian male wearing a Red Sox baseball cap. The suspect has hit the store a few times now. Employees have been told to call SPD if they see him, There is usually another subject waiting outside the store on the east side of Macy's upper level in a Honda-type vehicle. No plate was given.
5:06 p.m. Caller reporting her 10-year-old son was followed while walking home from school today. White male, goatee, approximately 30 years old, was driving a navy blue car with two scoops on the hood of the car.
8:02 p.m. Paul Emond, 38, of 9 Old Rockingham Road Apt. 4C in Salem, N.H. is arrested on 9 Old Rockingham Road Apt. 4C and charged with simple assault. Caller reported that his father just hit his mother.
Emond released on $500 personal recognizance bail.
8:43 p.m. Melissa Michelle Ayan, 28, of 79 Mills Shore Drive in Hampstead, N.H. is arrested on a warrant at the Salem Police Department and charged with false report to law enforcement. Ayan released on $500 personal recognizance bail.
10:07 p.m. 911 requesting police to assist Salem Fire with ambulance call on Veronica Avenue for a 2-year-old unconsolably crying. Fire transported child to the hospital before officer's arrival. No one was at the residence when officer arrived on scene.

3:11 a.m. Caller reporting a possible drunk driver at Denny's Restaurant on 92 Cluff Crossing Road. Stated the operator drove over an island in the lot and parked diagonally before heading into Denny's.
Officers out with the operator, elderly male, negative on the possible DWI.
