Editor's note: The following entries are excerpts from logs submitted by Salem Police.   8:00 a.m. Caller reports he was just involved in an accident with a dump truck at 51 Lowell Road and 98 Brady Ave. Caller stated he was rear-ended and is now injured. Salem Fire responds. Subject transported to Holy Family Hospital. 4:17 p.m. Arthur P. Charter, 31, of 104 Cluff Road in Pittsfield, N.H. is arrested at the Derry Police Department for willful concealment theft, issued a summons for Salem Police Department. Transported to Rockingham County Jail. 7:08 p.m. Black male, approximately 6'2'', reportedly steals two Kindles from Staples on 167 S. Broadway Street. Male left on foot crossing Route 28. 8:28 p.m Two males matching the description of the suspects from Staples reportedly in Best Buy on 290 S. Broadway Street. They left the store and got into a grey Honday heading south on Route 28. Best Buy contacted back to say they saw the suspect take a laptop as well as a backpack.
