Man Swings Golf Club at People Waiting in Line at McDonald's

Editor's note: The following entries are excerpts from logs submitted by Salem Police.

MAY 17, 2013

2:27 p.m. Caller at Muse's Trailer Park requesting to speak with an officer in reference to her car being egged overnight. Caller only wanted a log item stating her vehicle had been egged.

MAY 18, 2013

2:40 p.m. Anthony John Vitale, 40, of 30 Hidden Road in Methuen, Mass. is arrested at the Salem Police Department and charged with two counts theft by deception. 

8:19 p.m. Megan Katherine Devine, 25, of 6 Germantown Road in Derry, N.H. is arrested at Macy's on 1 Mall Road and charged with possession of a controlled drug. Devine released on a summons.

9:45 p.m. Robert Merrill, 40, of 10 Derry Way Apt. 25 in Derry, N.H. is arrested on a warrant at the Salem Police Department and charged with criminal threatening. Merrill released on $500 personal recognizance bail.

MAY 19, 2013

10:35 a.m. 911 at Route 93 for a motor vehicle accident with injury. Female driver rolled her vehicle at Exit 1. 

MAY 20, 2013

Manager at McDonald's on 225 S. Broadway St. reporting that a male subject was upset that he had to wait in line soe he went to his vehicle and pulled out a golf club and started swinging it at people. The male subject then ran out and got into his gold Infiniti and left heading on Route 28 north. Male subject is short, possibly 40 to 50 years old with gray hair.
