Man Who Recorded Woman Under her Home to Plead Guilty

The Union Leader has reported that an Orleans, Mass. man who lived under a Salem woman's trailer and recorded her for two days will plead guilty to several charges.
Christian Hobbs, 44, filed his intentions to plead guilty during a brief court hearing on Friday. The report added that he is expected back in court on May 24 for a plea and sentencing hearing on 10 charges including burglary, violation of privacy and attempted interception of telecommunications or oral communications prohibited
, police said they responded to a Friendship Drive home for a report the resident had witnessed a male subject, Hobbs, peering up at her from underneath her bathroom floor.

She told police she knew the subject because she had purchased the mobile home from him a couple years ago. In addition, he had done work for her on the home two weeks ago.
She had noticed "movement in the air duct" and looked into it and saw Hobbs allegedly looking up at her.

"The male simply said 'hello,'" police said.
After she called 911, responding officers found Hobbs walking south on Route 28 and as soon as they confronted him he admitted to being under the trailer. Police said they then took Hobbs into custody.
According to police, an investigation into the incident revealed two weeks ago Hobbs, while doing work, hooked up two baby monitors in the residence, one in the bedroom and one in the dryer duct.
Police said they determined Hobbs then came back and "snuck under the trailer and cut holes in the floor and then in the floor vent under the bathroom."
According to police, Hobbs had been under the trailer for nearly two days and had food, beverages and tissues, and was observing and taping the resident while she was in the bathroom.
