Middle School Wrestlers, Clubs Compete In NHWAY Team Championships

EXETER, NH — The NHWAY State Dual Team Championships were held Sunday at Exeter High School.

Keene Middle School topped Londonderry Middle School, 48-24, in the championship final to claim their second consecutive NHWAY Team Dual Championship.

On the club side, Nashua Boys & Girls Club took a 3rd Dual title with a narrow 37-35 victory over the Salem Bulldogs.

On the school side, 10 area middle schools competed in a pool competition to determine the top four teams. Those four teams were seeded into a single-elimination semi-final bracket. In the semi-final, Keene Middle School topped Exeter Cooperative Middle School 41-24 to punch their ticket into the finals. Londonderry Middle School's path to the finals came via a 48-28 win over Mountain View Middle School.

On the club side, 5 area wrestling clubs participated in a round-robin bracket where each team wrestled every other team. The last dual of the session pitted the unbeaten Salem Bulldogs against the perfect Nashua Boys & Girls Club. Nashua came out on top by the narrowest of margins, bringing the crowd and the teams along on a roller coaster of emotions right down to the final match.
