SALEM, NH — The Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce celebrated a double dose of community excitement on April 8, 2025, with two lively ribbon-cutting ceremonies marking the grand openings of brand-new recreational spaces in Salem.

With the cut of the ribbon and cheers from enthusiastic locals, the Chamber proudly marked the debut of the Pickleball Courts at Michele Memorial Park and the Basketball Court at Hedgehog Park. These vibrant new amenities are designed to bring the Salem community together — whether you're looking for a friendly match with neighbors or a new way to stay active with family and friends.

What makes these projects even more remarkable?

They were completed without impacting taxpayers, thanks to the combined efforts of the town of Salem, the Salem Community Services Department, and the Friends of Salem New Hampshire Recreation, Inc. Their dedication and generosity turned these ideas into vibrant, active spaces where residents of all ages can thrive.
