Trio of Salem Businesses Receive 'Sweet' NH Magazine Honors

Each year, New Hampshire Magazine recognizes their "Best of NH" award winners, and three Salem businesses have been recognized in 2013 for their sweets.

According to the magazine, The Tuscan Market is the top dog for gelato in the state.

Also honored was Jay Gee's Ice Cream, which opened a second location in Salem last year to accompany the first location in Methuen, Mass.

The business received the editor's pick for best "New Ice Cream Shop."

In the pies category, The Pie Guy was honored.

The magazine recognizes local business each year in several different categories. A big party is then held each year. Proceeds this year benefited the New Hampshire Food Bank.
